Pick the first player in one spin

Every game needs a starting player, and "youngest goes first" gets old quickly. Replace the sample players with real names, spin once, and whoever the wheel lands on starts. The pick is made with your browser's secure random generator before the wheel turns, so nobody can claim the spin was steered.

Build a complete turn order without repeats

This page opens in Fair Rotation mode. After the first spin, the player who was picked sits out until everyone else has had a turn, so each new spin chooses the next player in the order. Keep spinning until everyone has been picked and you have a full, random turn order — first, second, third and so on. The spin history keeps track of the order for you.

    Board games and card games

Use it at the start of a board game, a card game or a tabletop campaign, or to set the seating order around the table. Playing in teams rather than individually? Split the group with the random team generator first, then put the team names on the wheel.

    Sports and team activities

Decide which team kicks off, who bats first, or the order players take penalties. It's a quick alternative when nobody has a coin to hand.

    Presentation and speaking order

For class presentations, pitches or meeting updates, list the speakers and spin until the full order is set. Nobody has to volunteer to go first, and everyone can see the order was random. For a whole class presenting in one session, the student presentation order generator produces the full numbered order at once.

Why Fair Rotation works well for turns

In Random mode the same person could be picked twice in a row, which is fine for a one-off pick but useless for a turn order. Fair Rotation guarantees everyone is picked exactly once per round. The randomness page explains how each pick is made. For a general pick of one person, use the random name picker wheel.

    Questions

Can I use this to set the entire turn order?

Yes. Keep spinning in Fair Rotation and each person is selected once before any repeats begin. The order they're picked in is your turn order.
