Paste any kind of list
A random picker is only as useful as the list you can get into it. Copy a column from a spreadsheet, a bulleted list from a document, a numbered list from an email or a run of items separated by commas, and paste it straight into the choices box. Wheel Answer strips the bullets and numbers, removes empty lines and keeps each item exactly as you wrote it. If every item on your list is a person, the random name picker wheel is set up for names. Practising a weekly spelling list? The spelling word wheel cycles through every word before repeating.
Pick one or pick several
This page opens in Elimination mode. Each item that comes up is taken off the list once the result is shown, so the next spin can only land on something that hasn't been picked yet. That makes it easy to draw three prizes from a box of six, or work through a list of chores in a random order. Picked the wrong one, or want an item back? Undo restores it. Prefer that every spin can pick anything? Switch to Random.
Pick from a list without doing it manually
Writing items on slips of paper, folding them and pulling one out takes time, and it's hard to prove nothing was peeked at. Here the item is chosen the moment you press Spin, using your browser's secure random number generator, and the wheel simply animates to that result. Your list stays private
Whatever you paste stays in this browser on this device. It isn't uploaded, it isn't stored on our servers and it isn't sent to analytics. The only time your list leaves the device is if you choose to create a share link, and then it travels inside that link.
Questions
Can I pick more than one item?
Yes. Keep spinning in Elimination mode and each picked item is removed, so you can draw as many items as you need without repeats. Undo puts the last one back.
Does it work with long lists?
Yes. A single list can hold up to 500 items, and Magic Paste handles long spreadsheet columns in one go. Very long labels are trimmed to keep the wheel readable.
